It's important to recognize that even before this latest odious attempt at trans genocide by the administration, the conditions inside the BOP were already awful.

Staff were always misgendering inmates and threatening them with detransition, etc. Kara had her HRT doses reduced and reduced.

The Democrats’ decision to put politics over public safety, for a third time this Congress, has forced the Department to direct its components to take the following measures effective at 6 AM ET, February 22, 2026:   Halting all non-disaster-related Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) response efforts to prioritize disaster response; Ending Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry service; Suspending all courtesy and family police escorts at airports for Members of Congress, which is drawing staff away from the critical mission of getting passengers screened.   “This is the third time that Democrat politicians have shut down this department during the 119th Congress,” said Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

DHS rewrote their press release from this morning to remove the mention of TSA Precheck being suspended

My trauma shears tend to be like my sunglasses: cheap and easily re-orderable.

I don't need those kinds that can fold up or that can cut a penny in half... I like to have ones that if TSA or some sort of security person doesn't understand the rules and confiscates them, I don't have to care much.

The surfboard thing is probably not something that has happened in reality, I was just looking for one other item that's sometimes on a leash ☺️

And, yeah, having trauma shears can be useful for a lot of things.
