1) oil infrastructure is blown up
2) the war has already shown the US cannot defend the Gulf states, so shipping risk stays high - pushing up insurance costs too
3) Iran can choke Strait of Hormuz
4) previous wars have seen oil stay high long after war.
Perhaps neither boredom nor worry. It seems likely that someone has made a fortune by manipulating the world stock markets
