A lot of you found me because of my crazy @jeopardyofficial.bsky.social quarterfinal game Wednesday.

To clarify; @ibhirsch.bsky.social and @joshtigerhill.bsky.social are GREAT Jeopardy players and made the exact right wagers for the game.

I only won BECAUSE they wagered correctly.

We don’t get to keep the money from the round. Sole goal to is advance :)

Betting a nominal amount allowed me to protect against (what I thought was a very unlikely) middle bet from one of my competitors.

There was a small chance that one of them would make a middle bet to play for a wildcard. If they did, I assumed they’d try to stay above what I had, if I bet 0. I bet a small amount, on the off chance they did that and I was the only one to get final right. No real risk for me, potential reward.
