As a physician and a mother, I can’t ignore harm to children. A 5 year old being taken from school and used as leverage to arrest a parent is deeply disturbing and indefensible. This isn’t about politics, it’s about basic humanity and protecting children from preventable trauma. Children are not tools. Full stop.

I think that since the overwhelming majority of mass shooters are cisgender men, we should take their guns first.
