My writer's group is having a "local retreat" today where I'll get 4 hours of writing time and I plan to continue pushing through my historical fantasy WIP. I reached the middle point this week and things are finally starting to make sense!

Both Odette and Piper are pretty terrible at taking advice. They are open minded and listen, but too stubborn to change. Odette thinks she knows better, though she's a bit more mature about it; Piper is more outspoken about doing things her way.

FYI - I checked today and saw I sold 6 more books + 2 audiobooks this week!
It really does! I've felt a bit better with this once a week shift, and it even makes the numbers seem higher!
I've decided to only check book sales/reviews once a week now, instead of doing so every day. It's been tough to change the routine, but so far so good. Last week I sold 4 or 5 books which to me is huge! Wonder what I'll find today when I do my weekly check.

Miles rests in the backseat of a car on a blue quilt. he does not have bandages on his legs, which are tucked up near his body. his front right leg curves at a funny angle. he looks up at us with his golden eyes.
This is Miles. He was found as a stray with two broken legs. The fractures had gone untreated for so long that surgery is no longer an option. He will need months of ongoing care including regular x-rays and weekly splint changes for his bones to heal. You can help him below ❤️🩹
