I took almost all of February off (wrist pain), got a new job, and start training this week. The muse is resting (and imagining...new ideas popping). Hopefully once this 1st week is gone, I'll be back in it. Wrist is much better most of the time.

& writing a book in 1st person adjusted how I write in third to give me more understanding of show vs. tell.
Honestly, I used to dislike 1st person POV a lot (reading & writing)....but I've come to like it and actually have a book written in it now. I just always said it wasn't for me...but I changed (helps that a LOT of more modern books are in 1st so if I wanna read, I need to accept it. lol)

It took me over a month to get my visual field test scheduled so i can determine if I need the blepheroplasty since, you know, I can see my eyelids & I need the test for insurance coverage. & I kept my ASC job for cost coverage, too...but now I have to cx b/c new job has essential training that day.
When you go to the library to renew your card so you can borrow books not in ebook form & stop buying so much...& the first book you grab & borrow, you realize as you leave is one you actually already own. ~headdesk~
Calli lost everything when her last relationship went south & she went to Lake Point to escape.
Dee has spent the past year away from Lake Point dealing with illness & death. She returns home ready to dive back into life.

I deleted my entire account...don't plan on going back. One thing I miss is the sprint option for my writing...but I'll live with my minute timer instead.
I have to go back to work tomorrow & I haven't decided if I'm going to keep the job or not. And with the change in insurances, it's not a great time to be getting the testing done for a bleph, but if I qualify I want my doc to do it before she moves back to CA.
I could totally see those skulls and stains being part of a gruesome photo shoot in miniature. Love it.
The end of this chapter is going to see a big change from the original material, that should be enough to wake the snoring muse. *pokes her again*

It's official! I'm now an ER nurse!!
I'll start in a couple of week. I was told I'd need a 2nd interview, but instead they called w/ an offer! Higher pay, sign on bonus, and insurance.
Added bonus, by dropping insurance through hubs work, they're also giving him a pay bump as a thanks!
1 yr & almost 3 months...and I still expect my mom to react and/or comment on my FB posts.

That is a LOT of phone time. Like. A lot. I'm mad impressed, I'd be twitching in a ball.
OK. It wasn't 3 hours...but it was the interview, a peer interview, and about 30 minutes shadowing and interacting with staff.
Looks like it's going to be a good fit on both sides. It is no longer DOS based (same charting system, no longer DOS).
One more interview, then offer.
About to head out to my 3 hour interview (interview + shadowing). Remembered last night that the last time I went to his hospital system for clinicals they were using DOS based charting...so, that's fun.
It was the best call for you to make. You can't be a good support for someone else when you are in the depths of it. Take care of yourself first, so that later you can return to yes with strength and joy.

Apparently I had company in bed. 8-legged company. 2 spider bites on my arm...at least the tattoos hide them, if they don't stop the itching. ouchie itchie
Phase 2 of interview for an ED position is Wednesday. Learned I'm interviewing for a 9a-9p shift, which I love (1p-1a would be better, but at least it's not 7a). Also learned the interview in house is 3 hours of shadowing and I need scrubs to do it.
*cue me searching scrub stores*
Yes it is! I'm excited to get back, but I definitely want to be sure I'm not injuring myself further when I do.
