@boothicus.bsky.social isn't this study a big deal? I haven't seen much discussion yet here.
Iβve just asked Gemini to predict the Palestine Action JR - ban quashed (procedural error) 55%, ban upheld (national security) 35%
Ditto. Wouldnβt this amount to a contempt of Parliament?
Isn't Michael Foran on the advisory board of Sex Matters? Should not that have been disclosed in the article? sex-matters.org/posts/update...
@nigella.bsky.social βs Marzipan Cake - itβs lush
Iβve not seen any reporting on this. How many of those arrested over the past few weeks have actually been charged?
Do you know how the people who have been arrested (previously and yesterday) have been dealt with e.g. charged, released on police bail etc.? Canβt find much reporting about this.
Just use the criminal law?
Thanks Gary
Surely the equivalent of BSB has to look into the conduct of the USGβs lawyers?
Not sure what this means β¦
Re not naming the firm, do you think the SLAPPs rules may have been breached?
Why donβt they ever realise that the last couple who come to breakfast were candidates for murder and therefore v likely to be faifhfuls?!
Will videos of the sessions be available?
Excellent analysis.

Did you get sausage in batter as a starter?

Is it a fair summary?
If we want to ensure the rule of law is respected, how about adopting a policy that the likelihood of a challenge being successful must be medium low (less than 50%) or lower (cf the standard for making a section 19 HRA statement)?
Thanks for the discussion. My worry is that the democratic process isnβt working and what can we do to avoid the massive impacts of say 2 degrees? Itβs a genuine question to everyone. Thatβs why Iβm sympathetic to these protesters. At least they are doing something to raise the issue.
So you agree with the tactic of civil disobedience but just want it to be more honestly carried out?
And Iβm still interested in your views about better alternatives.
Have you engaged with any of the theories of changed advocated by Hallam and co? They are interesting and pissing off people (and Iβm not convinced the overwhelming majority are) ainβt that important.
No, not really helpful. How would you suggest we protest / secure meaningful action that will prevent 2 degrees let alone more?
Isnβt the future of the planet more important than access to art works (or indeed the works themselves)?
Can you recommend any books about ancient dna / Archaeology?
