Day 14 - second day at Universal Studios in Osaka. Mostly re-rides and a few shows, including their Halloween PokΓ©mon DJ party which was good fun! Some more time spent in Super Nintendo World too (we ruddy loved this area π).

Day 13 - first day at Universal Studios in Osaka, brilliant park! Quite small in size, but highlights such as Forbidden Journey, Flying Dinosaur and Hollywood Dream lots of fun. Super Nintendo World was by far the highlight and Mine Cart Madness was hilarious. Great first day ^^
Day 12 - our first day in Kyoto and really looked forward to this one! Started the day exploring Yasaka Shrine, followed by the HΕkan-ji temple and Kiyomizu-dera temple, then finished with a visit to the famous Fushimi-Inari hike through the torii gates. Amazing to see it all ^^
Day 11 - part two of the trip. Finally got the chance to take the Shinkansen bullet train to Osaka, was lots of fun! Arrived at our hotel near the Dojima river then ventured to Kyoto for the brand new Nintendo Museum. Had a blast inside seeing (and playing) their history! ^^
Day 10 - bucket-list, this one being the famous Fuji-Q Highland. Couldnβt have asked for better weather seeing the mountain finally, and some of their coasters were great fun. Eejanaika was bloody mental, never experienced something I nearly passed out on beforeβ¦ great day! ^^
Day 9 - the second full day exploring more of Tokyo! Tried some amazing Yakitori, visited the Akihabara district famous for retro games, had a blast at the interactive digital art museum (Planets) then finished the night at the famous Shibuya Scramble and Sky Tower. Perfect ^^
Day 8 - a big one. Got to visit the surrounding areas at the base of Mount Fuji and visited some of the many amazing sights! Oshino Hakkaiβs springs and the Arakura Sengen Shrine were two especially great sights. Then ended the day having an amazing 14-course Wagyu beef meal ^^
Day 7 - last day at the Tokyo Disney resort and spent it soaking in the unique atmosphere of DisneySea for the second day. Couldnβt get over just how pretty and picturesque this park was, especially at night!
Rating - 9/10 ^^
Day 6 - second day at Disney Tokyo and filled with a few re-rides on our fav attractions. Also got the chance to catch the light show on the castle and a few unique night rides in the dark. Finished our visit to this park on Beauty and the Beast - perfect ending!
8/10 park ^^
Day 5 - second day at the resort was at the other park - DisneySea. Very unique feel with a mix of Mediterranean vibes, an industrial aesthetic and Jules Verne inspired attractions. Some great experiences such as 20K Leagues Under the Sea and their version of Tower of Terror ^^
Day 4 - the first day at Disney Tokyo! Very impressed with their main park with classics like Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. Was also delighted to try Splash Mountain once again (last one left worldwide) and their incredible Beauty and the Beast dark ride ^^
Day 3 - first full day in Tokyo and had a mix of things to see. Firstly the amazing SensΕ-ji temple and market, followed by the impressive TeamLab Borderless digital art museum, then to conclude the SkyTree tower at night. Views were amazing seeing how massive the city was ^^
Day 2 - arrived very tired from the flight, so had a relaxed day exploring some parts of Tokyo after we arrived at the hotel. Saw the Yushima Temple, visited Character Street at the station, explored parts of Minato city and finally tried the famous Ichiran ramen for lunch ^^
Back home from the most incredible holiday ever had visiting Japan for 16 days.
So many new and wonderful experiences to share from this adventure we had ^^ π―π΅
Day 1 - to kick things off, the long 13 hour flight to Tokyo from Heathrow with Japan Air and huge excitement:
4 years in the making.
The big day is finally here!

Been working these last few months on slowly restoring the garden for summer.
Got a few things left to do, so arenβt complete yet, but are really pleased with the progress so far. The grass especially!
Bottom is September 2024 (keys day) vs May 2025 on top x3
First room worked on - main bedroom.
Made it a priority to get this completed first so I wasnβt sleeping on an inflatable bed surrounded by paint and tools for too long
Pretty happy with it, added some teal with the blue to vary the palette a little, along with warm lights ^^
Next area - the hallway area, just a few small improvements here.
Resurfaced the ceiling, new lights, new switches, new smoke alarm, painted the walls/wood/door, new door handles and a new corner utility unit & lamp.
Finished with some wall display pictures of my fav places ^^
Next room complete (most part) - the main lounge area. Really pleased with this one ^^
Still missing a few things on the walls such as canvas pictures and the shelves need filling with stuff, but decoration wise itβs complete.
Coastal blue with oak is the main theme here ^^
Itβs been four months and after relentless electrics, drilling, resurfacing and painting, the house is finally at the finishing line ^^
To begin, hereβs a before and after of the office/workstation.
Definitely the most personalised room in the house x3
Thatβs definitely a treat to behold π
Been an excellent last few days (and nights) getting ready for the Xmas spirit and embracing winter with Phantasialand.
Every year they get better and better! Best place to visit in November/December without any doubt. βοΈβ€οΈ
