London calling! My colleague, Eva Zemandl, and I took some of our students to the British Red Cross, who were fantastic giving us a warm and informative reception, and the Imperial War Museum, which was a reminder that there is always hope.

Moscow-Washington nuclear hotline has averted war in the past – but cool heads will be needed in Trump’s White House and Putin’s Kremlin The ‘Molink’ hotline has averted a serious crisis on several occasions. But would it still be as effective, given the personalities of the two leaders?

This was a great opportunity to think about the relevance of the Moscow-Washington hotline for current and future US- Russia relations.
