To be fair, I also have an external hard drive that I update monthly with my photos, videos, and downloaded music, so that's always an option too!
When I got my latest laptop, I transferred every download to my one drive so I can grab the songs whenever. Helpful if I ever get a new laptop in the future because the whole USB transfer was always a slow nightmare.
The only physical albums I own are Slipknots discography. Other than that, I have over 1000 songs from my iTunes, which I downloaded as well in the event anything happened to iTunes or Spotify once I switched over.
I don't go on there at all at this point. I use messenger for family who aren't on other apps, but other than that, I don't bother unless I'm popping on to say happy birthday to someone, or writing on my sisters page like she can read it in the afterlife lol
