I've been watching young people playing in bands just like this for more or less 30 years, and I don't really know what to think now that they're playing to an audience that's mostly (as it clearly was tonight) their parents' generation rather than their own peers.

Unpopular opinion: after the first couple of Bond films, the quality absolutely plummeted with Goldfinger.
Tricky Decade Dip! Easy to go wrong with Blondie, and I don't know the year for Cher... Song 3 is beyond my ken... Dunno! Turn of decade, roughly.

Incredibly, some people are talking themselves into believing this set is now more likely because of this release! It's like a doomsday cult...
Also: destroys the dreams of the online fans who had groupthinked themselves into believing the Bluray range would include a 'Wilderness Years' box set.
I mean, I'll be buying it. But the TV Movie is best enjoyed as an artefact of the mid-90s rather than as good Doctor Who, IMHO.
(Paul McGann's audios with Sheridan Smith are some of my favourite Doctor Who ever made, but the TV Movie is his second best on-screen episode.)

Last time I watched the TV Movie (and first time in nearly 20 years) was after seeing Paul McGann and Daphne Ashbrook reunited in Bedford and having a lovely time just hanging out together.
My god. This is amazing. Absolutely amazing. Never thought it would ever be realistic to get that film out of the archive and properly scanned. In HD, never mind 4K! We get spoiled, us Doctor Who fans.

Had a lovely conversation with him about how he got Big Break and how Davidson encouraged and coached him to do more in front of camera. He was supposed to be the ref. He ended up as the straight man in the act. RIP JV.
