"For centuries people have been #reading more and more. Recently the trend has gone into reverse. The number of people who pick up a #book has been falling steadily for twenty years. Now half of adults no longer read regularly.

How will this change us? "

Murder at the Black Cat Cafe by Seishi Yokomizo, translated by BryanΒ Karetnyk It’s been only a couple of weeks since I last tackled a book by Seishi Yokomizo. In fact, on the day I post this review you will still see my post about The Inugami Curse listed as a recent post on the homepage! Given I try to mix things up on the blog, how has this come about? Well, there are a couple of reasons…

Back to back reviews of the same author? Well, I don't usually do that but I couldn't resist after picking up a copy of this earlier this week. Today's post offers thoughts on Seishi Yokomizo's Murder at the Black Cat Cafe.

An early mystery from Miles Burton in which an inheritance depends on the time of death. A pair of potential legatees are definitely suspicious. Other titles in the series have lovely dust jacket art, I can't imagine what happened to this one. #FFB πŸ“šβš‘οΈ πŸ“šπŸ’™ happinessisabook.com/fridays-forg...

As soon as spring started on Sunday, it is like last year when the rain ceased in March. Then we had in Norwich almost 6 months with very little rain. I wonder if this is a weather pattern that will be repeated - wet winter with little frost followed by a dry spring & summer. I hope not!
