Oh heavens no! I am many many miles from there. :)
I'm smiling and standing in a wintery pine forest. It looks like I'm standing in front of a green screen, but I was actually on a mountain forest path.
I may have been in a forest today. I chose not to put myself in full bodily danger to see a waterfall, but I made some questionable choices before my better judgment kicked in.
Thank you, my dear friend! π₯°
If you ever approach me with the opening "do you want to hear a wild story?", the answer is yes of course I do. But I will judge your definition of "wild story" based on what you deliver next. And then I'll rank you in my affections accordingly.

Fucking hell. Why didn't that song come up AT ALL when I was looking for songs that had been written about the moon?? π€£
(for the record, my song sounds nothing like that and I do not aspire to be in the same league as Paul Simon)

coming to believe there are fundamentally two types of recipes:
1) "carefully follow this long series of specific instructions, which if successful will taste like heaven and otherwise will devolve into disgusting slime"
2) "mix together these delicious ingredients and they will remain delicious"
It was a bold move to agree to intentionally write a song about the moon. But now, when I start to doubt myself, I can shut it down with "I wrote a song about the fucking moon; I can do whatever this is." That's a pretty sweet unintended benefit.
We're out here makin' connections! :)

This is live, friends!
Iβm thrilled to have my first collaborative piece in here, written with @kathrynreese.bsky.social

That is an absolutely gorgeous piece!
A year into signing up for Bsky, I reckon it's time to show my face. Well, here I am, ornery as ever, and getting more so as the world I strive for disintegrates.
If you care to let people know I'm here and planning to be more active, I appreciate it.
Also, it's good and correct to have a standard order at a place where you're a regular. It's ritual.
But then sometimes, snails show up
It's good for my soul to be alone at a table in a crowded room where music is being played. Notebook open on the table in front of me to capture any bits of inspiration that happen to wander by.
There are so many ways to do good. Small ways, just little daily things. Helping a stranger with something, helping a neighbor, a friend, listening, being present. Endless ways to improve things in quiet ways. And you never need to mention them. Just do them because they are good to do.
We're really living in a time when people just post videos of themselves saying stuff and doing things and then act like it is not excruciatingly vulnerable.
When someone says βScientists do not want you to knowβ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They canβt shut up about what they found out and want you to know.

I'm smiling widely and showing off my pretty striped hat with a red felt flower pinned on one side. I'm also wearing a multicolored infinity scarf.
Since nothing is going to bloom here for many weeks, I'm carrying my own flower and colour.
An a desk with a miss piggy money box and pens is a series of five collages faces - a mix of old recontextualised drawing fragments and drawing and striped paper
When it comes to my art practice i am lost
Wonderfully beautifully lost
I don't know where i am going and its exciting
I have no ideas if the work below is finished- under done or over done - infact i just barely know it at all
True fun
Thank you for saying this β€οΈ

Even though the next thing is already poking its baby leaves up through the dirt. :) (5/5)
I'm very tired today, body and soul. I might share some pictures of last night when I get the chance. Today, I'm going to putter around the house, read, spend time with my family, reground as much as I can, take time to integrate instead of moving immediately on to the next thing. (4/5)
I'd been asked to write a song. I wrote one that I'm proud of. I performed it well, even though it was the first time I'd played it for anyone besides my tarantula.
It is entirely unfair to myself and this achievement to compare what I did to women who have been performing for decades. (3/5)
Processing it all this morning, I felt like I hadn't really been given the whole assignment, like I could have done better if I'd had a better concept of what everyone else was doing.
But something has occurred to me: not one of those women had written anything specifically for last night. (2/5)
