The newest addition to the Packers defense: Zaire Franklin, who led the NFL with 173 tackles and made the Pro Bowl in 2024.
The Colts get Franklin’s more than $7 million salary off the books and add Colby Wooden, who started 16 games for Green Bay last season.
The cap hit for the Packers will be about $6.2M, which is less than what a LB of Zaire Franklin's caliber would get on the open market. And to the degree that PFF grades are useful, 2025 was a clear outlier for him (new DC/new scheme). Green Bay obviously thinks he'll fit better with Gannon.
