It’s certainly part of why I get choked up about it, having been an A&E nurse in the past, and yet now work in a field where utter incompetence is tolerated and rewarded.

Still, at least I got to read my own ECG. And teach the HCA doing the test where to correctly put the leads. 😂

But when you are woken up with pain in the jaw and left arm, you remember telling your students that, for example, toothache doesn’t protect you from a heart attack as well.
And I can’t feel my chest from nerve damage, so I wouldn’t expect classic chest pain as well 😉

And, I know it’s only one metric - but the nurse in charge was beautifully turned out, not a crease out of place, hair and makeup spotless, not a bead of sweat.
How come when I did that job I was always a sweaty, creased, disheveled mess with a uniform with fresh body fluids on it?

Went to A&E last night (I’m fine) with symptoms of a heart attack, LAS refused me an ambulance, A&E ignored me for over an hour before doing the completely basic assessment.
What happened to ‘time is myocardium’?
Walked out with cannula in situ after two hours without pain relief…
Not the right decision as I need you to go out and infect the whole ground so that some of them can die because I hate humans.
