This thread is an incredible catalog and history of moral panics in the early 20th century.

The dumbasses of the day were terrified about *checks notes* kids reading books at bed time.

And it just gets more wacky from there.

Kash Patel’s use of jet delayed FBI team’s mass shooting response, whistleblower tells top senator Sen. Richard Durbin says FBI director’s β€œmisplaced priorities” led to the delayed response to the Brown University shooting in December.

Breaking MS NOW:

Agents with the FBI's elite evidence response team were delayed in reaching the scene of a mass shooting at Brown U. in December because there was no FBI plane available.

Kash Patel was in south Florida at the time with one of the FBI's two available jets.

He may have to give that back to us.

I am sure someone will correct me if I got all of this wrong, but those are the basics.

The Supreme Court just ruled that these tariffs were basically taxes. Taxes are the role of Congress, not the President. So all of these tariffs were illegal. And they have already been charged to US consumers for about a year to the sum of about $1000 per person, on average.

Meanwhile, many of the US products are made with components not made in the US. That means that the US was still buying foreign products, but selling way fewer items out of the country. That is the widening trade gap.

Trump instituted all of these tariffs over the last year. This caused everyone in the US to pay more, as the cost of the tariff was passed on to the customer. It also made foreign buyers of US products to stop buying them.

A humidifier on the sink in front of a bathroom mirror. The combination of small "on" and "full" lights above a wide curved vent make a pleasant smiling face and on the back of the humidifier, which can be seen in the mirror, another wide curved air vent and the two screws holding it together above it make a horrified face.

Naturally, Trump is going to try to cash in on this. Every t-shirt, coffee cup, everything with the airport’s name on it means Trump will make money off it.

ABC: Do you still have confidence in Pam Bondi as AG?

MASSIE: I don't think Pam Bondi has confidence in Pam Bondi. She wasn't confident enough to engage in anything but name calling in a hearing. So no, I don't. She was responsible for the document production.

That gets you to Grand Central, where you can get the same train to New Rochelle.

White Plains may be expensive, but closer. Or, you can just have them pick you up at LGA and be in New Rochelle in 30 minutes or so.

I would suggest JFK or White Plains. JFK is the best bet for public transportation purposes. SkyTrain to Jamaica station, subway to Grand Central, Metro North to New Rochelle.

Newark is a train to Penn Station, the 3 train (subway) to Times Square, then a mile underground walk to the S train.

Saudi crown prince says Jared Kushner handed him U.S. intelligence Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman has been boasting about his close relationship with the president's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, sources tell DailyMail.com.

Nothing going on here...

"Saudi Crown Prince says Jared Kushner handed him US intelligence"

Jared Kushner asked for more intelligence documents than anyone else in the Trump White House - now we know why.

With Ring, American Consumers Built a Surveillance Dragnet Ring's 'Search Party' is dystopian surveillance accelerationism.

If you still have a Ring camera, you may want to think about replacing it with something a little less Continental Panopticon.

It's staggering how this political eunuch has not just done nothing at all as Speaker of the House, but has actually worked to prevent his colleagues from doing anything at all as well.

For all the right's fetishization of "originalism," this is a development that would've made the founders weep

I am so interested to see how the same press that lost its collective mind over a tan suit, eating ice cream, falling off a bike, the way a woman laughed, and other meaningless bullshit protects him, and normalizes this despicable, racist, disqualifying behavior that would end any other presidency.

This contextualizes the wailing of mediocre men when a new generation of authors emerged and said this shit was not okay, ever, and we will hold you accountable for it.

There is a woman who never wrote, because she felt unwelcome, and I know she had something important to say. That makes me sad.

The reviews for β€œMelania” are going to be far more entertaining than the movie. What a fabulous headline:
