I just don't trust any social platform anywhere. I don't join some sites because I like them or the creators. I do not like Bluesky people either, like at all. I join because of the people that are there. I have quite nice Twitter feed still, because I just block every single thing I don't like now.

Social media has gone worse after covid it feels like tbh, many normies coming in fandoms and they don't know how to act and casually being rude everywhere. Rising censorship and fascism everywhere and people just chasing drama and engagement..
Like when Msn Messenger was ending, Skype was there. When Skype blundered, Discord was there. Same with Myspace to Tumblr, or from Facebook to places like Instagram and Twitter too. It was natural phenomenon of that time. But now, people haphazardly move to half-baked platforms.

stay in Twitter, there goes my another big reason to use this place at all. So there's just also usage thing. And well, the TOS being what it is, that's just like cherry on top. So in that sense, it made me easy not to use Bluesky actively. But like, I'm always open still, I just kinda like wait.
Well, it's easy for me in this case. Many of my mutuals have made accounts here, but haven't stayed active. So why would I either? I can also reach most of those people privately if I truly want to, so then this place holds no purpose to me.

At this point, I've kinda lost my faith in social platforms. I haven't found myself feeling good here, or anywhere else, in years. I don't feel actual sense of community anywhere anymore. That ended like around 2020 or so. People are just scattered on different platforms and everything feels bad.
It also suffers from American style puritanism, that is supported by the devs. Which I find honestly repulsive in a way. I've had to withstand this in fandoms for 10 years. Unless JPN people really stay here and devs change their stances, I will not be active here, once again.
Yeah probs...it's pretty sad honestly. In general I'm saddened by the current atmosphere of weeb fandoms. There seems to be so many new people into this hobby who say they "like" anime, but then just mock a lot of things in it and do whole morality check stuff. And not just sexual things.
There's not whole "NSFW ban" here, but let's just say the bans are very trigger happy at least. It seems though that Western style art gets more leeway, dunno if mods just prefer it then. Can't say how it works on IRL porn.
I've also heard that once artists for reason or another have been banned from the site they can't get their accounts easily back. And this has happened to many anime style NSFW artists. Also Bluesky TOS does consider lolisho as CSEM, sadly.
There's not as big of pushback as Tumblr, probably because Bluesky is still relatively small. Tumblr on its hayday was literally like main kind of social platform for many [at least Western] fandom spaces and younger social media users. So the purge was ofc much larger as well.

Tbh, I'm still hopeful Twitter will actually revert the edit button, it's made so much damage even Twitter support locked down and even official accounts are kinda panicking so maybe there's hope...sigh I Just Hate Internet in general.
