Is Christian religiosity driving backlash against Muslims in Western Europe? πΊ Watch the video, or read the full paper (open access) here π journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...
Many of the ARDA's learning modules have been updated to include the latest data from the 2024 General Social Survey. These modules are designed to be incorporated into class syllabi or used for individual skill development.

New publication on immigrant attitudes toward immigration in π«π·
We find that European origin immigrants attitudes converge with natives over time, while African and other non-European minorities -who are more discriminated against- stay pro-immigration.
www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
And why is this important? Because most research assumes minority groups respond uniformly to discrimination, but our findings reveal that education and integration create vastly different coping strategies within the same community!
This is consistent with a dissociation-detachment mechanism, where more integrated members of a stigmatized group distance themselves from the in-group to buffer against the negative psychological impacts of discrimination.

Using data from the German Socio-Economic Panel we find nuanced effects of terrorism on Muslims in Germany: More educated and more integrated respondents are less likely to feel discriminated against after attacks, compared to those with lower levels of education or integration.
Abstract of effect of terrorism on religious minorities' perceived discrimination, Journal of Peace Research
π Very happy to share that our paper with Judit Ralbovszki got accepted at the Journal of Peace Research!
Most research focuses on the effect of terrorism on majority attitudes, but what about the minorities who often become targets of backlash?
We cannot allow this to stand anymore! We have prepared a petition calling for a boycott of the next ISPP 2026 conference in Newcastle, UK, unless the Executive Committee resigns or responds to our concerns. Please read and sign the petition here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
Is there a link between supporting authoritarianism and personal religiosity? π€
