Lemon Cake

It's an idea I was toying with for awhile, but here's a take on the Moist Orange Cake recipe I made before, except I used lemons instead of oranges.

And like before, the icing is a cream cheese icing.

Take two on the Sausage rolls;

This time we used a beef/pork mixture for the meat and cut the rolls into thirds before cooking them.

Time to bring this out again.

They turned out well, but they did need to be in smaller rolls/cut in half, rather than 4 big ones like Mom and I did.

Otherwise, pretty good, but filling.

Sausage Rolls

As it turns out, my Mom had never made sausage rolls before and was looking at recipes for them. So we tried them out today.

And because both Mom and I didn't have the patience for puff pastry, these are made with pie crust instead.

Changes made to recipe;
½ cup packed dark brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
¾ cup fancy molasses
1 cup chopped sugar perserved Ginger (Candied Ginger also works)

Same recipe as the Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars I made before, except with alterations done to make a Gingerbread variant of the product thanks to Mom coming up with the idea for the variant.

Cookie Bars is another recipe I could never get right and I tried several recipes for it, until I found this one.

Corn Starch and brownie mixing method was the key apparently.

Sugar Cookies.

I meant to do this around Christmas, but I couldn't get the energy to make the icing to put it together.

I had to make icing for a different project and had extra so here you go. Sugar cookies assembled into a Christmas tree. Better late than never.

Eggnog Bundt Cake

This is one of those recipes where one of the ingredients isn't what the product says it is... but it DOES have some of the ingredients FOR eggnog in this cake.

And the result is a mix of tastes close to both eggnog and banana cake...

Peppermint Patties

Yes, I'm bringing these back. My grandmother really loves these ever since I introduced her to them last year. So I made a bunch to gift to both her and to others.

Sadly, the downside is that the dough can be uncooperative when rolling it out.

Spice Cake and Sesame Snaps.

More holiday baking made a couple days ago. The spice cake is another recipe my Mom likes to make and she wanted to make one.

Same for the Sesame snaps because of how easy it is to make and it only takes about 20 minutes.
