Not only a stronger economy but also more compassionate and caring societies. One sees that in their longer life expectancies, lower crime rates, lower number of reported mental health issues, and above all, in their higher rates of reported happiness.

It's always been that way since the Christian Church became the official religion of Rome. The original Christians were the real deal--communists who were anti-materialist and compassionate if rather boring. Once Christianity became an official religion, the most ambitious, cynical folks took over.
Add, "Killing people is fun. Mostly you should kill non-white, non-Christian people living far away. Bombing them is the most fun. While you should be nicer to people living in the USA, that doesn't apply if they are non-white, weren't born in the US, & wouldn't vote Republican if they stayed.
And many of them think that God is a religious partisan who only likes Christians and Jews (the latter because evangelists think they play some role in Armageddon). So if you are killing Muslims or Hindus or Buddhists or animists or atheists, their narcissist version of God, like Trump, just yawns.
Not totally! Trump is such a malignant narcissist that when this gangster fascist prays to God, he thinks that he is praying to Himself.
That's true & bears repeating. But few Republicans & not all Dems by any means support enriching SNAP benefits or helping minorities or gov't paying for medical research. What's needed is to elect progressive, including as many socialist as possible, folks who oppose war and support social programs.
Other hard-fought-for rights could disappear under Trump. His buddy, Putin, removed domestic abuse from the Criminal Code, saying it interfered with the sacred family rights, meaning patriarchal control. The # of murders and maimings of women have risen sharply. Don't put it past DJT to follow suit.
