Man, I remember seeing this series come out as a teen and thinking it was an “Image Comics take” on the JLI. Hated the first issue, but wrestled with the idea of Firestorm coming back (though ultimately took a pass).
Making me want to re-read Nova (2007)… again… because I love that series & revisit sometimes.

I still remember that awful feeling (from here in Canada) nine years ago, with Angela Merkel suggesting that EU cannot rely on UK & US anymore. She was correct that EU has to fight for its own future, but it was still a gut punch to think of what was happening to the alliances I grew up with.
