This International Womenβs Day, weβre reflecting on how access to education for women has evolved, and how leadership, opportunity, and inclusion continue to shape that journey today.
Special thank you to NCI President, Professor Gina Quin, and Chair of NCIβs Governing Body, Brendan McGinty, for sharing our ambitions to continue creating real impact for students, their families and their communities.
For future students, he noted:
βFor any student who will walk through these doors wondering if they belong in higher education or not, you do, and your story can change too.β
NCISU President, Tre Robert, shared his personal story during the launch, reflecting on the opportunities that were available to him by choosing to study at National College of Ireland.
Along with the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr Ray McAdam, An Taoiseach and Minister Lawless spoke highly of NCI, highlighting the unique impact the College has, and continues to have, on education in Ireland.
A historical day in the #75YearsofNCI as our Spencer Dock campus building is officially opened by An Taoiseach, MicheΓ‘l Martin, and Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless.
βWhat NCI has built here is far more than a campus. When you walk through the college, you see something really special, you see the shaping of the next generation.
That is what makes NCI so uniqueβ
Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ray McAdam, speaking at the opening of our Spencer Dock building.
