I just responded to the scene at 26th and Nicollet shortly after the observer was shot. They teargassed and/or pepper sprayed Jana Shortal of KARE11 at the scene and she was being treated when I walked up. ICE have a fancy camera they are using to scan the faces of the crowd.
We are seeing what they are willing to do to American citizens in front of cameras, we can only imagine the horrors that the undocumented folks in detention centers, places without observers, etc are facing outside of the spotlight.

GRAPHIC. Minneapolis. Witness video shows multiple CBP officers pinning a man on Nicollet Ave. While he is on the ground, one officer draws his weapon and fires multiple shots at point-blank range. No warning. No visible threat. Federal force, deployed in public.
Early DHS spin (via Fox News) is that the person shot repeatedly by Border Patrol officers in Minneapolis was armed -- note that open carrying firearms is legal with a permit and notably, they are not (yet at least) claiming that the person fired or even brandished a gun, just had one.
This is one of those things that in another administration couldve been a months long scandal if the media wanted it to be. call it AgentGate. What did Bondi know and when did she know it? Weeks of opinion pieces etc etc.

This MS NOW documentary from Houston shows 1.) federal officers appearing to ram an immigrant’s van with their vehicle, 2.) officers placing a high school student in a chokehold and 3.) confiscating the 16-year-old’s phone (which was later found to have been sold at a tech-for-cash pawn shop kiosk)
