Wow, I canβt believe I missed this
Opened my breaking news alert email and just started laughing
I was recently eavesdropping on two men at the gym and one man said, "I like to read" and the other said, "what do you like to read?" and the first guy started describing self-help airport books.
Yeah. And that was a case of the stars being so thin that it overshadowed the movie.
And I feel like theyβre co-opting the language of body positivity to be like βyou canβt talk about how skinny everyone isβ
Yes! I get that too. I donβt have celiacs, but theyβre like βwell, you have some sort of autoimmune problem, so hereβs gluten free stuff.β
googling "does dying start at the neck" and scrolling till I find the answer I want
I think this is the correct take.
HOWEVER
I refuse to lose hope.
He wants to move to Florida for the politics?????????
When Love Is Blind was in Minnesota, a friend messaged me and was like βMinnesota is a blue state. Why are all these guys conservative?β
I think West on Summer House is so mid, but he has all these fans because heβs a normal guy! He was terrible to Ciara, who is a literal model/nurse and people forgave him because he worked to make it up to her.
I think this reflects a greater cultural problem which is that conservative men are vastly overrepresented in all forms of media. We need more normal guys on television.
The problem with Love Is Blind is that they pair women who have been completely traumatized by their previous relationships with men and men who are total psychopaths together in pods.
100000%
Holds up
I canβt believe you already know the plot hahahaha
I finished a novel draft today and then immediately had to spend two hours cleaning the toddlerβs room β οΈβ οΈβ οΈ
Yes! Single space makes it easier to see more of what I've written as I'm going along and gives me a better sense of how fast or slow thing are moving.
I don't do a title page or a table of contents. I do always do page numbers, chapter numbers, and unlike you, I almost always write in Times New Roman. I do single space my document until I send it off though.
A lot of people are so informal in the Word documents. I also find it very strange.
The last 5 words of The Silence of the Lambs are "the silence of the lambs," so might as well ignore every note your beta readers, agent, and editor give you.
This is one of the reasons why I've only consumed two alcoholic beverages in the past year (also I was pregnant for a lot of that time).
Every single Monday feels like coming back from a two week vacation when you have small children.
Corporations: We are collections of people & therefore deserve the civic rights afforded all people.
Me: Ok. May I talk to a person?
Corporation: No. Never again.
This is the first year that Ronan has really processed what holidays are and I failed to understand how hype he would be on his birthday.
I love how every post is like "yes we know we fucking suck as a political institution but we still won the championship."
Congrats America. You're all Alabama fans now.
I have to exercise every single day or I feel awful and that feels very unfair
I think one of the hardest parts of going from one kid to two is that there is so much stuff I have to keep track of in my brain at all times and I always forget something.
I think ceilings are the issue as I also donβt like chandelier ceilings in suburban homes. I think lower ceilings feel more homey?
I honestly thought I would spend a lot more time in Europe as an adult and instead, I just go to water parks and Disney World with my children.
