A moment of levity.
Literally the "I told you so" I so wish I'd been wrong about.
When I designed this in 2017 in response to the "Muslim ban" I knew things were going to be truly awful. We are yearning to breathe free. Let us put that yearning into action.
Yes - thank you for posting the numbers!
Mainers, flood Susan Collinsβ office with calls, emails, and voicemails asking if sheβs watched the video of the lawless and brutal public execution of a Minneapolis man guilty only of dissent. Tell her his blood is already on her hands, but itβs not too late for her to actually do her fucking job.
In response to a call for art by the amazing Karen Miller for her book, The Art of Mothering. As I was food shopping alone the other evening, I was suddenly struck by how βempty nestedβ I felt. Iβm going to write about it in an upcoming post for my Substack, A North Atlantic Narrative.
MAINE, USA - Maine Sec'y of State @shennabellows.bsky.social has paused issuing confidential, undercover license plates after request from U.S. Customs & Border Protection.

Get these Nazis the fuck out of my beloved Maine. I feel violated. May every single one of them pay a thousand times over for their abject evilness.

Right now!
WELCOME to the Parris House.
I've neglected my Bluesky recently, but I pretty much ran over here yesterday knowing it would be the best platform for having my popcorn. πΏπΏπΏ
I had a phenomenally encouraging time at the Hands Off protest in Augusta, Maine today. Huge turnout! This was my sign. Let's keep this up, America!
Hello, @theatlantic.com
Putting the finishing touches on 'Prey.' I *never* use glue on a fiber art piece except, well, when it's the best way to affix some sea glass. π
This is theft.
Every word of this.
Not a ton of progress on this one today because I had other stuff I had to get done, but I did go through my stash to see what else might go into it.
I'd love to see your yarns! I do a lot of hand dyeing of wool yarn and fabric, and sometimes locks and roving, however I have not yet learned to spin or weave.
I found this TapRoot Fibre Lab yarn in Nova Scotia last week and knew immediately it was right for my fierce woman in "Don't Play Small." Fiery wool in the background is "Dragon's Breath" dyed by Shane (the Dye Guy) at Encompassing Designs Rug Hooking Studio in Mahone Bay, NS. Buy Canadian! π¨π¦π¨π¦π¨π¦
