A little Monday night dram, courtesy of @thewhiskywire.bsky.social. This is an 8 year old @bimberdistillery.bsky.social. Very sweet & sticky on the nose, which continues onto the palate. A beautiful, chewy, and full-bodied whisky. Very drinkable at 50%abv.

I hand filled this Tomatin Virgin Oak almost 5 years ago. It's been open almost the same amount of time and it's 61.8% abv has certainly held its flavour. What a dram! SlΓ inte π₯

A beautiful drop from Blair Athol in the glass tonight. SMWS always seem to nail it with the quality of their single cask offerings. SlΓ inte π₯
Dram 4. Special Waters. On the palate, it's just as sticky and complex as I'd hoped. Definitely some smoke coming through, and there's a lovely background sweetness to the flavour. #wireworkswhisky
Dram 4. Special Waters. On the nose is loads of syrup. Sticky and warm, and smells very moreish. #wireworkswhisky
Dram 3. Port Wine LBV. On the palate, a beautiful lingering spice and loads of stewed fruit coming through. I'm getting jam doughnuts. Very moreish with loads going on within the layers of flavour.

Dram 2. Caduro Cask Strength. On the palate. The abv comes through, but it's also very palatable. Spice with sweetness, it reminds me of Christmas. A long lingering finish that goes on and on. Absolutely love this one. #wireworkswhisky

Dram 1. Bourbon Barrel. On the palate, it's spicy. Very little sweetness, considering how sweet the nose comes across. There's a taste of pears dops and cinnamon in the after taste #wireworkswhisky

My Saturday night dram was a wee toast to Rabbie Burns, who was born on this day in 1759. Picked from my collection of whisky from my favourite distillery, the Isle of Raasay.
