I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

Quick scribble: wizard mimic. Pterosaur-like critter, with elongated fingers pressing together to imitate a staff, and crest and wing membrane creating an impression of the signature cloak and hat. Won't fool anyone up close, unless it can actually do some illusions, though.

Seems on brand, except that if they are going by the latest Exploring Azeroth book, the Blood Trolls have been hunted to extinction by now I believe.
