An active community flood group has been officially formed in Wantage. The group aims to bring together local residents to help improve flood awareness and resilience across the town.

It’s nearly time for AlfredFest to take over Wantage, (Sunday 26th October 2025). Here is the digital brochure so you can start planning your weekend!
As we're expecting visitors from outside the area, we’ve also created an event map to highlight the key locations & activities taking place.
Temporary Road Closure at Wantage, Manor Road.
A temporary Notice is being made by OCC to implement the temporary restriction & will operate from 15 November 2025 up to & including 16 November 2025.

Please note that the public conveniences in the Portway Car Park, Wantage will be closed on Tues 30 September and Wed 1 October for repair work.
The nearest public toilets are located at the Memorial Park, Manor Road, Wantage, OX12 8DW. These are open 08.30 am to 5 pm.
