Some years I had so many helpers I had to split them by semester. (I think displaying a picture of the end of the year pizza party may have helped😉) Warmed my heart to see these students love the library as much as I did.

Retired California library media clerk here, - no assistant, and in my first 2 yrs the position was 5 hrs/day for 750 students! The district eventually made all LMC positions full time but our assistants were/are 5th and 6th graders wanting to help during their lunch recess.
