Apparently, the old sprite art looked better to some. we got like 200 comments when we asked why people didn't like it. It was a little upsetting getting mauled by rando's, but you gotta learn at some point, I guess...

The original game jam version was! Now it's a roguelike, but we're keeping our boss rush roots with large enemies that feel like minibosses!

It's definitely hard! But I grow tired of having my screen full of projectiles. Ranged enemies are cool, I just don't want my screen looking like this late game
Why are so many 2D roguelikes structured like bullet hells or vampire survivors?? Long-ranged enemies are great, and so are fodder enemies! But I've had my fix.
Ichorous is more about direct encounters with a main threat and a few supporting creatures!

No item is a boring stat buff! The flint blade causes parries to spark embers, setting your enemies ablaze!

The curse cold-blooded gives enemies ice armor! Until you break it, they will take reduced damage!
