NC Republicans pulled some of this same kind of bullshit when Josh Stein won, but they waited until after the election, making it even more nakedly partisan.

Daros hits 500 ratings on Amazon! My second book to do so. Big thanks to everybody who's spent time with Brecca, Frim, and Lyra and their adventures.

Review from TroyBurns2 states: (5 stars) I came to this book looking for a laugh. I sure got it and so much more. The book reads like a Fantasy version of The Tick. But Chevson is a more nuanced and interesting Arthur and Lady Isovar is just so much fun. π€© if you like fantasy, a unique magical system and an epic adventure then buy this book. It is worth it.
A great review for The Glorious and Epic Tale of Lady Isovar! Thanks, Troy, and glad you liked it. I'll take a comp to The Tick any day :-).

Goodreads page for What Grows From the Dead by Dave Dobson showing 500 ratings with a 4.37 average
Reached an odometer milestone for What Grows From the Dead, my most-rated book of all of them. If you're looking for a funny amateur sleuth mystery set in North Carolina, check it out!
Book cover for The Woeling Lass by Dave Dobson, showing a cursed knife reflecting the image of a young woman.
One of my Inquisitors' Guild mysteries, The Woeling Lass, is free as an ebook until Tuesday the 13th. An assassin leaves an inspector near death and his family decimated. As he is whisked to safety, an apprentice starts to pull together the clues. Plus, there may or not be a vengeful ghost.
I had a really fun discussion with Scott Roche on his Creative Dynamos YouTube show.

Wild that itβs still five cents forty-five years later.
I used to collect cans from the tailgates and from the stands at Jack Trice field on football Saturdays back in the 1980s. On a good day, I could make $10, which was worth the couple of blocks walk and smelling like beer for the rest of the weekend - serious video arcade money.
Tons of awesome free and discounted books! Check out the megasale!

Oh, thank you! Iβm so glad. I liked the old one too, but I thought something like this would get the mood across better.
Thanks for giving Izzy a try! I hope you enjoy her adventures.

Yes, but the old one got nominated for the award π
Book review of Kenai by David Hoag: ***** Dave Dobson folded a lot more into this excellent book than just a unique plot. I couldnβt put this book down. The story of Jess Amiko is captivating and compelling. That it spans an immense time period, explores new worlds, unique ecologies, and a very different take on time and destiny, is part of what makes this story so compelling. There are so many reasons to give this book the highest rating possible, but itβs probably best to let you discover them for yourself. Do yourself a big favor, and read this book! You wonβt be sorry.
Grab a copy of my space opera sci-fi adventure for ZERO dollars today through December 20. Aliens, artifacts, smugglers, and an alien in a box. An #SPSFC semifinalist, 4.5 average on ~700 ratings. Also available on audio.
Shares of this post absolutely welcome - thanks!
"Kenai" was one of the sci-fi books that @michaelshotter.com read and enjoyed this year but Dave Dobson has many others worth investigating as well, in various genres. He's also a returning SPSFC judge. Needless to say, he's a busy fellow. πͺππ
