The good things being: My friends, my best friend, my parents, Silksong (yes I’m deadass), and the love that’s brought me here in the first place.
So today I say I’m free.
I’m free from the torment, the trauma, the guilt, the blame, the tears, from him.
I’m free from YOU.
I thought today was gonna be awful. The Anniversary Effect usually sucks. But today life proved me wrong, I proved me wrong. Today I didn’t think of it, of him. Today, up until now, I forgot about it. Because I was too busy focusing on the good things.
But now I believe I’m finally back to my normal self. And the best part is that I still kept all the lessons I’ve learned from the relationship onward. I’ve been able to slowly stop thinking about it, not have the unfair guilt of something that wasn’t my fault on my back.
With all their help. I was able to recover from the trauma inflicted on me and become happy again. I cannot express how grateful i am to have the support of such great people. Near the end and after the relationship I was at an all time low, the worst I’ve ever been.
I’ve thought about it a lot and with all the people who’ve had my back. My mom, my friends, and my best friend, I’ve come to the conclusion that I did the right thing when I blocked them. Despite how they tried to make me feel otherwise.
Today (16th of September) marks the 1 year anniversary of me blocking my ex BF on like everything.
The relationship was extremely toxic, but a learning experience for me. Despite the amount of abuse I endured throughout, I also made some mistakes, but I’ve learned a lot since then
