Outside of scope of law? Law is supposed to determine exactly where the borders are supposed to be. Outside the scope of the law is an absolutely inaccurate concept of thought.

Like I said to the previous person, it’s an opinion to think that the difference between the two cannot be defined. Anybody can speak and they’re free to do so. To have the ability to be labeled as a news organization that provides facts only can be defined by law and separate organizations.
So defining what the press is, media versus news, fact verse opinion, you think is outside of the scope of the law? I think that is ignorant and cute all at the same time.

How is asking somebody to define themselves as a media operation compared to a new agency restricting them from speaking? It doesn’t. Nobody is being stopped from speaking their mind, defining what their words mean is not the same.
What you were saying is that anybody should be able to speak their mind. That is true. What I am saying that you are not comprehending is that you can define a news agency separately from a media agency and people would know one has to tell the truth, and the other does not.

They could also pass legislation that defines the difference between news and…current affairs? Partisan media? Alternative media? Opinion journalism? Whatever definition you want to use, make a set of requirements necessary to be classified as a “news agency.” Structure consequences.
