Covid affects everyone, not just those who are "vulnerable."

Brilliant. The sharpie is a nice touch.
This is not news for anyone paying a minimum level of attention.
"I didn't see a single building standing the entire time I was in Gaza. I didn't see one building intact or standing.
Everything was flattened. And when I mean flattened, it was hard to even tell that they were buildings there before."

Here's the latest variant picture for Canada, to mid-February.
XFG.* "Stratus" remained dominant, but fell sharply to finish at 50% frequency.
NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus" grew strongly to 43%.

I live in Saskatoon. Sunrise in June is 5 am, so it starts getting light around 430 am. The amount of people in canada who live in a higher latitude and would have sunrise at a similar or an earlier time is very small. The only other high latitude large city is Edmonton, and they have DST.
If not perhaps a name change to "Canadian Long Covid Society" would be more accurate.

Several babies in the NICU have COVID.
In general we take things very seriously in the NICU.
COVID, however, gets brushed off.
None of us knows the potential long-term effects of a COVID infection on a premature immune system.
We should take it seriously.
So the babies know we care.
Can you please add alt text? I only like or share posts with photos if there is alt text.
120 hospitalization seems like the actual rate of infections would be a lot higher than 350.
Lots of missed cases I'm guessing.
I saw @michael-hoerger.bsky.social recently posting on this topic on the other place
I see you have been posting lots about long covid in the past several months, which is great.
But I'm wondering, you are the canadian covid society, are you actually doing anything to prevent people from being infected with covid and developing long covid in the future?
This is also just generally an awesome podcast, I have listened to dozens of episodes.
Recently went down the rabbit hole of, "Just how misogynistic is Quentin Tarantino" (after an executive leader at work admitted to being a fan of the Kill Bill series) and came across this gem, on the only Tarantino film I've ever watched (I hated the film).
Highly entertaining episode.
Which route?

This is why all the COVID and #longCOVID aware folks have been so irate about everything since 2020. It's all unnecessary. Death, disability, it's all purely a result of letting medical policy be set by cosplaying dinosaurs, pretending to be scientists while they lock the real ones out of the room.
This is why COVID is out of control. Policies to protect you from disease like COVID in the hospital you personally will go to if you get sick are based on Dunning-Kruger "science" that has been out of date for nearly a century.
Check!
Medical management will kill you before they admit an error.
Just one more reason on a veeeeeery long list of why I'm happy to not date cishet men.
This makes no sense.
