First green bin collection of the year yesterday.
Until a year ago, collection was year round, (every 2 weeks), and free.
Annual charge introduced a year ago, and collected 2 weekly, March-Nov only.
So now paying for a reduced and more limited service.
And didn't collect the bin yesterday....

Many of them were still on scene this morning, such as this group, watched over by Kenny Hunter's 2001 Citizen Firefighter statue outside the nearby Central Hotel, which is a memorial to all firefighters past and present. Thank you to you all.

A final post on the Union Street fire for now. Thanks to all the firefighters from the Scottish fire and Rescue Service who worked tirelessly late into the night to ensure the fire was as contained as possible.
