This is what many/most US folk don't understand. Even if we violently deposed the regime today and had 30+ years of solid blue-party rule at all levels, the damage has been done. An enormous moral stain has been accrued and it won't come off soon or easily.
Ask Germany about this kind of stain.
He's probably been thinking about that since 2011 actually. If you run everything he's ever said though a filter and pull out the things that mention harm being done to the US, there's quite a lot of it.

Been awhile since he's said he'd bring manufacturing back. Defunding education, making kids less healthy, cutting school meal programs, cutting healthcare in general, cutting research .. all of those things will make it harder (or even much harder) for the nation to compete in manufacturing.
And yet here we are with the damage long done & dusted.
This is painful living in a nation where the legal system is so deliberately broken that it works at the speed of snails playing chess by mail, delivered by part-time messengers traveling cross-country on foot.
There are always the completely offline classics, like having dogs in the house .. things for repelling boarders .. neighbors who may hear the noise and bring some of their own .. etc.
It's critical that we vote out the trash as best as we can, every election, for a long time to come.
It's important not only to take these evil clowns out of office, but to show the world that we don't approve of what's been done in the name of the people of the US.

Not only is Trump busy making sure that no nation on earth will want to have anything to do with the US, but he's also destroying the economy of the US so thoroughly that it will never again be able to afford this kind of military. The country can't be rich if the rest of the world shuns it.
This is a classic case of airing absurdities (Fox: OMG, the caravans are coming to destroy us!) to induce people to commit atrocities.
