Forgot to mention that Wayne being “human??” Is just him in a human disguise in the Light Realm
Wayne (sometimes “Decres”) Human??? I like the idea of him secretly being a Darkner with a Lightner’s soul, escaped royalty from a Moon Palace. Soul obtained through enlightenment? Really interesting to think about “hylics” being compared to the material objects in a space, so maybe ascended somehow. Portal is in a planetarium? Observatory? Art studio? Makes for awkward encounters with Ralsei who recognizes him as a lost royal. It’s making some strong assumptions and broadening the lore a bit, though. Battle axe is specifically a Moon Kingdom weapon. Special engravings that I didn’t feel like drawing. Works in facilities at a local school Mid-twenties Dislikes “small talk”, but also doesn’t like revealing too much about himself.
Somsnosa 100% human, mid-early 20s, Lightner Works minimum wage job at a juice bar, has no real goals or aspirations No known living blood relatives. Has been an orphan since she was a child/young teenager. Would understand Kris and Susie a little TOO well about that, except she didn’t have the same kind of support growing up. Would get easily attached to the Dark World as an escape from reality.
In General The first known portal to the Dark World is in the fridge/storage at the juice bar, which Somsnosa and Wayne find together during a closing shift. This is the most accessible portal. Another one could be found in the space that they all meet for band practice. Another would be the portal to the Moon Palace. Set in a town different from the original Deltarune cast… I feel as if Kris being the only human in their town is substantial to their lore and character, so I don’t want to diminish it by adding another human. It would make for an interesting encounter between them and Somsnosa in the Dark World. That’s all I got for now. If I liked writing fics, this would be a fic lol but instead you’ll just get art.
