FYIW TomS hadn’t coached women before the Matildas.

I touted JA a few months ago.JA seems from a distance the right type of character to work with women.He is tactically astute.He has a proven track record of success, improving over time. And he has experience of international tournament football which JM does not have.

Seems obvious where it all went wrong. No one genuinely consulted and explored and listened to actual women’s soccer fans - the target.
