Neither here nor there, but I do wonder how the response to Bishop Budde's sermon would be different if it had been delivered by a man. I'm seeing a lot of overt and covert gendered critiques, which is just a reminder to me, once again, that people really hate women in powerful positions!

Feels like I'm just posting to the void since I'm just getting started here, but why not. I write a weekly newsletter, and this week I write about how far away from reading and critical thinking we’ve come. It's lacking in our education, COVID learning loss, social media attention spans, all of it.
I named my dissertation to develop a personal connection with it and make the process of writing more amicable. But, at the moment, our relationship status is "complicated."
