I’m in the US and have 3 children in the demographics you were discussing this AM.
1 was a terrific student finished her MS. 1 went the route of cosmetology school. 1 is currently in a state of inertia. None of the 3 are in career type jobs.
It’s the system, I fear.

I might add that I learned, just this year, that because of recent studies, it has been learned that menopausal women who have their high blood pressure treated DO NOT have a lowering of their heart attack risk. Previously all studies had been done on men, whose risk is lowered.
