The perceptions of minoritized pupils on student-teacher relationships Pupils feel better emotionally supported by their teachers in the mainstream school when they show an interest in their ethno-cultural background.

Looking at minoritized pupils views who attend both supplementary en mainstream Flemish schooling we find that an open and interested teacher attitude, or cultural curiosity, can make crucial difference to the student teacher relationship!
