Combining this with the research on cognitive debt amongst coders who start relying too much on AI coding tools gets us to worst-case scenarios quickly.
Especially since AI models lack a limbic system to recoil from cruelty and inhumane war crimes.
And writers who use AI where it's truly useful for mundane tasks but don't outsource the thinking that leads to strong argumentation written clearly.
This is why I think the long-term advantage will go to those who are thoughtful and deliberate about where and how they use AI — and not to the ones firing their developers because "vibe coding is the future."
