The start of a toe-up sock using magic loop with a tonal tan as the main color. The main part of the foot is tan and dark brown stripes with slipped stitches making vertical lines up the foot.
Perspective of knitting in bed in the Thistle Thorn tee. It has a textured pattern using a deep midnight blue and a variegated colorway of mostly mauves and light greens. There is a little fox stitch marker hanging out. In the background, on the wall opposite the bed, are shelves and a dresser full of plants, as well as plant and animal paintings hanging on the wall.
#wipwednesday features a new sock cast on (test knit) and my Thistle Thorn tee that Iβm still plugging away on. I just separated for sleeves!
The top-down view of the spiral end of a crescent lace shawl knit in a delicate pink and wrapped around a concrete pot holding a pink and yellow orchid plant.
For #showmeyourknits Lace week, I have the Fairyhill Shawl by Helen Stewart that I knit as part of her Shawl Society in 2017. I really donβt knit much lace, as Iβm more of a brioche girl, but I do love the few pieces that I have knit! π§Ά #knitsky
I was just looking at these to order!
Modeling a very light grey hat. It has a ribbed brim folded up and the body has an intricate pattern created with cables of varying sizes.
Modeling a dark teal hat. It has a ribbed brim folded up and the body has an intricate pattern created with cables of varying sizes. The dark color makes the texture a little harder to see.
Double the hat pattern releases this week! I also test knit the Rockhound Hat for @woolandpine.bsky.social - in fact, I knit two of them! Happy 100th pattern release to them π

Me wearing a two-color brioche hat with cat ears. The MC is a light purple with teal and orange speckles, the CC is a dark purple. The brim of the hat is flipped up to show the reverse fabric.

Release day for Brioche Meow, a cat-eared brioche hat by @knitgraffiti.bsky.social
Great pattern for those wanting to try 2-color brioche for the first time! The pattern includes lots of tutorial info. #knitsky π§Ά

Me standing in front of shelves with plants wearing a newly finished sweater. The main color is a light gray and the colorwork is knit with a color-changing yarn that contains oranges, browns, blues, reds, and yellows. Most of the colorwork is decorative, but there is a band of prancing horses on the chest.
#showmeyourknits is WILD - animal themed. This is Ghost Horses that I knit late 2019-early 2020. The horses are barely visibly, but I guess thatβs fitting. #knitsky π§Ά
I had to tink back last night 8 rows. I feel your pain.
Oh I guess these still count for #showmeyourknits red and pink week!
These are my kind of colors! Love it!
A freshly finished pair of red socks on my feet. They have a textured panel down the front of the foot lined with two delicate cables. The leg is extra long so it can be scrunched down.
Grantβs Point Socks by @aliciaplum.bsky.social finished! Iβm glad I chose this pattern for February #socksquad2026 - they took a long time to knit, but I love the finished product. #knitsky π§Ά
π¬oh no!!
This is a CAT checkpoint. Show the most recent cat image on your phone.
We got new babies today!

Red socks knit from the cuff down. The heel flap is finished on one and in progress on the other. The socks have a textured pattern lined by tiny cables on the front of the legs.
This weekβs #showmeyourknits is Red β₯οΈ and Pink π©·, and Iβm working on some red socks for Februaryβs Sock Squad 2026. Iβm knitting the Grantβs Point pattern by @aliciaplum.bsky.social
The legs are so long that they took forever to knit, but I just know theyβre going to be super cozy! #knitsky π§Ά
Itβs Hedgehog Fibers colorway Wave, which I believe is an exclusive colorway to the shop I purchased from, Wool and Co.
Thanks! Unfortunately the deep purple bled a lot while blocking so the foreground color now has a more purple tint, bit itβs still pretty π
Straight brioche knitting. The foreground color is light aqua with purple and orange speckles. The background color is a deep purple. There is a little fox stitch marker hanging in the middle.
Some pretty brioche for this weekβs #wipwednesday though I am also still working on that sweater. And a pair of socks. I am definitely not knitting monogamous π #knitsky π§Ά
A pair of handknit socks hanging on sock blockers in front of a wall of plants. The socks are mostly a medium blue with a varied stripe pattern of yellow and light blue.
Finished my January Sock Squad project just in the nick of time, since today is the deadline! I still have to tweak the pattern more, but if anyone is interested in possibly test knitting, please send me a DM. π§Ά #knitsky
Yes! π and Iβm only halfway to splitting for sleeves.
The first 6 inches or so of a bottom-up sweater. The hem is deep bluish gray, and the main body of the sweater is knit with a combination of that color and a variegated skein of light greens and mauves. The knit texture is a somewhat star pattern.
Still the same WIP on this #wipwednesday π§Ά
Itβs slow going but coming out really well! Thistle Thorn by @lavanyapatricella.bsky.social #knitting
Same!
Thank you!
Tinking is when you undo your knitting one stitch at a time, basically undoing each knit stitch. Frogging is taking your needles out and just ripping it back.
π I *think* because βrip itβ sounds like βribbitβ?
The beginning of a sweater on circular needles. The bottom ribbed hem is knit in a very deep navy blue and then it transitions into a textured knit using the navy and a variegated pale green & mauve yarn. Only a couple inches of the textured body is knit.
#wipwednesday Frogged and restarted my Thistle Thorn pullover with a different accent color. Itβs a bit early to see the pattern really emerge, but I think Iβm going to like this one a lot better. ππ» #knitsky π§Ά
The shaping and proportions are just really spot on! I love the v-neck especially. And the yarn I used is so soft and cozy!
I just did a huge stash reorganizing/destash project too! It took me 3 days and Iβm not quiiite done. Getting my ravelry stash to exactly match my stash is a really difficult task!
Thank you! π«Άπ»
