JFC I work in a hospital and the number of uninsured patients coming in is about as high as I have seen in over 30 years. People are still going to come to the hospital with or without insurance and hospitals won’t be able to keep up. Even hospitals in bigger cities are going to go under

Honestly, I’m kind of shocked surgery got that close. I worked at a Catholic hospital for years and any kind of surgery resulting in sterilization was a big no. Remember an OB who got in big trouble for doing fully consented tubal ligation during a c section. It was what the patient wanted!

Have you tried hand feeding? Our silly, nearly 100 lb, boy goes on food strike randomly. Won’t eat from his bowl but will eat out of hand. Then meds are just open the mouth, stuff the med back as far as you can get, clamp mouth shut, and massage throat until he swallows. Not pretty but effective
