Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Minneapolis (Official Audio)
Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Minneapolis (Official Audio) YouTube video by Bruce Springsteen

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

My new book purchase, hot off the presses from Sarah’s book launch. @Sarahspfh.bsky.social knows her stuff about Surrey research so this should be a great read.

Front cover of a book, entitled 'Basingstoke Reinvented, 1800-1925, from Agricultural Town to Manufacturing Centre', edited by Jean Morrin.

The title is white on a red band occupying the top third of the cover. Beneath are two views if the town from the same spot. The top (a black/white engraving), shows trees and thatched cottages. The lower image, a hand tinted photograph shows the 19th century streets that replaced the cottages, c. 1920.

Anna Maxwell Martin calls for end to β€˜cruel, idiotic’ fines for school absence Exclusive: actor says experience of school refusal showed her more compassion is needed, not exclusions

"There’s no point now banging on about behaviour and behaviour tsars. You can’t teach children to behave better by making them feel shit. It doesn’t work." Well said Anna Maxwell Martin.

The Works Swindon The Works Heritage Trail guides you around Swindon’s beautifully preserved Railway Village, through the Tunnel and around the former GWR Works – the original industrial heart of Swindon.

It was great to meet up with fellow AGRA members at our visit to Swindon's Heritage Trail and a tour of Steam - the Museum of the Great Western Railway. I'd recommend the heritage trail to anyone with an interest in social, industrial or railway history.

I saw that at the cinema when I was aged 7 as it was my older sister’s favourite book. I was NOT prepared for what I saw! Still traumatised nearly 50 years later. 10 year old sister loved it, but she did know what was coming.
