(12 oz DRY orzo, obviously will get much heavier when cooked)
(Details since it didn't fit in one post) One medium red onion + one medium eggplant roasted together in oil/salt at 375, large dice. ~4 garlic cloves and ~1 tsp of ginger. One 28oz can of good whole tomatoes, about 12oz orzo, about half a cup of cheese. Seasonings to taste but be bold. Delicious!
1. Roast chopped eggplant, red onion. 2. Fry sliced garlic, grated ginger, pepper flakes in EVOO. 3. Add canned tomatoes. Simmer + add zaatar, black pepper, salt. 4. Add onions/eggplant, mash, simmer a bit. 5. Stir in creamy (not dry/salty) feta cheese. 6. Stir in cooked orzo. 7. Yum. #cookingsky

I actually love this as it is. It seems a commentary on power and circumstance in the current age: a crown, sludgy and bruised, with gems missing. The circumstance only adds to the meaning. Honestly it should be the reference image for a fantasy book cover.
