FT comments section this morning - saying what everyone else is thinking, right?
They have time to work that out while in opposition. And have a better idea of stuff than reform do.
Anyone underage cannot legally give consent. It doesn't count. So whatever a child says, having sex with a child is rape, because there can be no consent.
Whereas Christian teaching is generally not in favour of "marrying out". I wonder how much religious freedom she gets at home?
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
-Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953
About those flags ... Hannah Spencer (remember her?) has a few ideas ...
Donald Trump has explained that the attack on Iran was necessary to protect US citizens from the dangers of paying too much attention to the Epstein files.
Just watched the Father and the Assassin on NT@home. It seemed relevant to the current world where the politics of hate and hatred of difference are again trying to dominate.
Just watched The father and the assassin, on NT@home. Really worth a watch.
Note the parallels with Farage's messages, and weep that we do not ever seem to seem to learn from history.
This 'correction' from @lewisgoodall.com regarding accusations from Reform and the Conservatives that the Greens engaged in sectarianism, deserves to be widely read.

Some US evangelicals. The most noisy ones.
NEWS! When I told Gorton and Denton to 'channel their patriotic Blitz spirit' I didn't mean 'defeat the far-right fascists', says Farage newsthump.com/2026/02/27/w...
Preferential treatment?
Would you be an able bodied heterosexual white male by any chance? Perhaps residing in the most darwinian country in the world?
What did you do with your compassion allowance? I've no further interest in talking to you.
I can't quite believe that you thought one currently existed and people just chose to go about their lives ignoring it, and were let into the Baftas without it. And posted online as if it did exist without checking first.
You what???
Thanks #BBC for telling me too much of what will happen in #Bridgerton S4 pt2, without any spoiler alert. Avoid reading the article on Bridgerton's first East Asian family if you don't want to know.
Because no-one has yet invented one of course. Do some research on Tourettes, and see what assistance is and is not available.
Or do you think they should be gagged perhaps??
Personally I'd like a device that stopped people asking questions when the answer can be very easily googled. But as yet...
The word is horrendously offensive agreed. Is hearing it from someone who *cannot help* shouting it more or less offensive than imprisoning those with Tourettes in their own homes?
The Tourettes sufferer might be African American themselves.
Or can we educate and have compassion for sufferers.
Grifters have worked out that "I'm just a fearless truth-teller willing to propose the necessary but politically incorrect solution," is a magic formula whereby if you're offensive enough the conversation focuses on whether you should have said it, and misses how your ideas are dumb as hell.
Knee jerk might be:Someone was offended, so the disabled person has to stay at home. Isolate them from all.
Rather than Bafta/BBC should have kept microphones well away, warned the presenters in advance, and double checked the editing.
It's called Reasonable Adjustment, and is part of the DDA.
Reform have no clue about Christianity. What they mean is: go back to the general culture we had before mass immigration.
Christians understand their faith to be rather different from that old culture.
Eg Grace and mercy, love for foreigners among you.
Christian nationalism is not Christianity.
My feed (reading newest to oldest posts) finally makes sense π€£π€£π€£
Those calling for this mostly have the haziest idea of what Christianity is about.
JDVance thinks the bible says to love your own family/locals/country/ROW in that order. It doesn't.
A bloke asked his wife what religion they were, she said Christian, he agreed, but told me he didn't believe in God!
You want him not to leave his house ever? That's your solution?
So do we the same for those in wheelchairs rather than building more ramps?
In his case we could build more understanding of Tourettes, maybe say MAKE A FILM ABOUT IT. And invite him to the award ceremony.
π΄Reformβs Plans to Import Trumpβs Authoritarian βProject 2025β Blueprint to the UK
Far from defending British independence, Reform and its by-election candidate Matt Goodwin are taking blueprints β and cash β from a global network of American hardliners

Aren't most of us already descendents of the "foreign born" how many generations back are they talking before ancestors can be counted as British?
Agreed, but "lifted from wiki" would be more honest than implying the AI had combed the whole intenet itself to provide the info.
To Wikipedia. I've noticed that it just steals the info with no credit given. Or have I missed it?
'The MHRA's rigorous trial of the efficacy of condoms - placed on the member post-coitus - concluded that their benefits were overstated. The Secretary of State for Health, Wesley Streeting, heralded the trial as exactly the sort of evidence-led medicine for which he had always advocated.'
But AI isn't giving credit.
