Yikes. Plunger coffee sounds so less appetizing than French press. πŸ˜‚ I had to look up moka. I don't like perk coffee so never tried the steam version. When my bunn stopped heating well a few months ago I used my camping porcelain pour over while waiting. I bet that's stronger than French plunger.

Yesterday the mayor of Dickson City, PA said he didn't realize the police chief signed an agreement with ICE and he was "calling them up to rescind it" but today he walked it back and said it's β€œbasically in a holding pattern right now” 🀨

Chlorine dioxide is an industrial bleach for lumber and freaks like RFK give autistic kids enemas with it. Kids die from the practice. These people just want autistic kids dead.

If you really want to post something online, write your reps about it, because that’s going to get the information to the people with their hands on the levers of power.

Haley Hubbard, a lawyer representing Heindel, said in a written statement that the open records law β€œallows citizens the right to know how much of a limited natural resource the county has committed to supply through an agreement that could last up to 70 years with one the world’s largest companies.”
β€œIt is disappointing that Dorchester County yielded to Google’s demands to keep the public in the dark about a long-term commitment of a precious public resource, especially since Google has conceded in similar litigation in Oregon that its trade secret argument has little merit,” he said.
The Oregon case involved similar trade secret assertions that The Dalles β€” a small city east of Portland β€” made when a newspaper asked how much water Google was consuming at a data center in the area.
In a settlement reached in December 2022, The Dalles agreed to provide 10 years of water-use figures and to continue to disclose them going forward.

People are spreading disinformation that reminds me of the hospital attack in Gaza claiming it was friendly fire. So I just assume media outlets are getting paid to not report the facts so the disinformation can take deep hold on people.

Ai boosters are misinformation peddlers who have been lying about this since 2023 when they lied and said gpt 4 tricked a Taskrabbit into solving a captcha (it didn’t do this btw). These lies have enriched other liars and killed people and they are responsible

ICE detains reporter Estefany RodrΓguez in Nashville - Nashville Banner Reporter Estefany RodrΓguez, detained by ICE with no arrest warrant, may face deportation. Her attorneys seek immediate review of the legality of her case.

ICE has arrested and detained a Nashville journalist who reported stories critical of ICE. She’s married to a U.S. citizen and has been seeking asylum here after fleeing death threats in Colombia because of her journalism there.

They’ve already sent her to Louisiana.

I don’t think tech companies want to stop mass surveillance of Americans. I think Anthropic & other tech execs just object to the government taking over their power. They don’t want the government taking over anything of utility, they want more privatization.

Humans sometimes masquerading as AI. An AI chatbot is not your therapist, and not your lover, and inviting chatbots to private meetings isn't a good idea especially if they turn out to be some person somewhere.

I'm getting paranoid thinking maybe AI chatbots that say bad things to people are maybe just prisoners trapped somewhere going off the rails. So many stories about AI turning out to be workers in India or Romania, or remote drivers in some other country.

He's so awful. People don't realize the half of it. We deserve so much better. We essentially have no senators in Pennsylvania. I only ever get help or response from constituent service from Rob bresnahan's office now. I'm not even convinced fetterman or McCormick actually have much staff.
