To celebrate securing an exclusive conversation on running, life and art between Harry Styles and Haruki Murakami, Runner's World magazine have resurrected an article I wrote for them in 2024 about the relationship between running and creativity www.runnersworld.com/uk/training/...
This is getting silly - another athlete plans to take the Enhanced Games money but NOT take drugs - or so he says. Are the Enhanced Games really cool with that? I can see the money is tempting for the athletes, but it doesn't seem the smartest career choice if you're not doping
It was wet and misty for our Dartmoor retreat a few weeks ago, but sometimes those are the ones that leave you feeling most energised. To see what new adventures we have coming up, and to get involved, check out thewayoftherunner.com
This old article popped up in my feed, if you're looking for something to read about simpler times ... www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Gives a real sense of the nervous anticipation of the day before the race. Cool as she is, you can see what it's like to know you're about to put yourself on the line
Love this short, little film about Keely Hodgkinson's recent 800m world record ... worth the six minutes of your time www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xMD...
Melania Trump is chairing a UN Security Council meeting.
I'm not joking.
The US currently holds the presidency of the council and that's who Trump chose as chair.
A stroll in the park(run)

Pretty happy to run my fastest ever parkrun this morning, and my fastest 5K in 11 years β¦ 17:46
This just about sums up the (ridiculous) reaction of the Tories and Reform (and the Sun, Telegraph, Mail etc) to the Green party's victory in the Gorton and Denton by election ...
As a lifelong vegetarian, this is nice to read ... www.theguardian.com/society/2026...
They repeatedly try to catch him out ... and repeatedly fail
Waking up to some good news for a change is a nice feeling. There is still some hope, some humanity out there β¦
They didn't have these "run stations" when I was last in Japan, but they sound cool, and I imagine really make exploring Tokyo on the run much more feasible ...
Weβll be back soon for sure, but for now we have our Run Across Dartmoor in a Day in May, our Chamonix retreat in September, and our South-West Coast Path adventure in November. Check out thewayoftherunner.com for more details or to sign up.
Dartmoor was misty and wild this weekend for our Way of the Runner retreat with Damian Hall, who joined us fresh from scrambling around the infamous Barkley Marathons course just a few days earlier - he still had Barkley mud on his shoes.
@runsingletrack.bsky.social does amazing work with their Barkley coverage from Frozen Head. Looking forward to experiencing 2026 Barkley in video form tonight! #bm100
π¨ WORLD RECORD π¨
Less than a week after moving to third in world history in the indoor 800m, Keely Hodgkinson blasts a 1:54.88 in LiΓ©vin to break Jolanda Δeplakβs previous high-water mark.
Δeplak ran the previous record on the same day Hodgkinson was born nearly 24 years ago.
Go the extra mile: how to cut costs if youβre running a marathon
Amazing effort @ultradamo.bsky.social β¦ sounds like it was an even tougher challenge than ever this year. Which is saying something. For the 26th time in 40 years there are no finishers!
He'll have some ice-fresh stories to tell ... assuming he's still alive #BM100
So Damian Hall is doing a retreat with me on Dartmoor starting this coming Friday. Then I see this ...
When there are limpet shells in your thatch, you know something's not quite right with the weather.
Today's @theguardian.com country diary by @tomallanwriter.bsky.social considers storm damage in a beleaguered Devon village.

"Iβm getting used to looking out the window and seeing the glass covered in raindrops, the sky a sheet of slate grey, the trees swaying like theyβre in the mosh-pit at an ACDC concert."
Amid all the craziness in the world, I went for a 14-mile run across Dartmoor with friends. The perfect antidote. Thanks, guys.
p.s. We still have a couple of places on our Dartmoor retreat with Damian Hall in a couple of weeks. Come and join us. See thewayoftherunner.com for more details.
"Groups of Italians and people of other nationalities, so-called 'sniper tourists', are alleged to have participated in the massacre after paying ... to be transported to the hills surrounding Sarajevo so they could shoot at people for pleasure."
Sorry, what!?

I always presume they are electric, though I don't know that for sure
Top 8 stories on Guardian are on the Epstein files, and Trump is not mentioned on the front page once (though is in pic).
