Really looking forward to reading this.

Really looking forward to reading this.
I'm pretty sure Jesus would have issues with this.
Horrifying.
Pick your tariff power... Note also that the Trump administration believes in a unitary executive so "Federal Agency investigation required" is not much of a hurdle.
I donβt know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is
This is very telling. No one is erasing white culture.
Fortune cookie says "Practice gratitude for the natural world and the environment."
Day 11 without power in North Mississippi because of Ice Storm Fern and my fortune cookie at lunch thought this was an appropriate message.
The depravity...
For better or worse, public law schools have to account for state politics when making decisions about who to hire as their next dean.
But hiring someone and *then* rescinding the offer is something else altogether, and ought to be a huge black eye for the University of Arkansas.
This is surreal. 4 Oglala Lakota men kidnapped by ICE in Minneapolis have finally been located. One of them was released but the other 3 are being held at Fort Snelling, a former concentration camp used to imprison Native people incl. the Dakota 38 during Dakota Wars.

What does it mean to be civilised?
For an institution as risk averse (by its very nature) as the Federal Reserve, this is a dramatic indictment of the current administration and shows just how catastrophic tampering with monetary policy would be for the economy of the US.
This is absolutely what happened and why we're withdrawing from the ILC. Half of the policymaking is based on keyword searches that don't differentiate between nuanced meanings of words.
This is so very reminiscent of the censoring of academic content during the Soviet era.
International trade folks: looking for great newsletters, podcasts or other resources on current trade topics to add to my syllabus for this semester's trade law class. What are your go-to sources these days?
Important read.
Intriguing theory that it wasn't Trump but US nat security that initiated attack on Venezuela, for critical minerals rather than oil

The past few days sit heavy.
Building bridges and community are the best things we can do. Love your neighbor. Love yourself. Love those who are different who you've never met. And embrace the light.
The kids apparently see these marks on their school computers. This is in 5th grade btw. I can't even begin to enumerate the ways this is bad pedagogically. I will be writing to the principal tomorrow (I discovered this today afternoon).
Image showing points added and deducted for behavior at various points in the day with cute emojis.
My kid's school has gone full surveillance state with an app where parents can see minute by minute behavioral marks for their kid. Apparently the kids get rewards in the form of fake school money for good points. Like cigs in prison. I can see abusive parents using this as an excuse. Abhorrent.
Nothing but rage at the preventable child deaths this will cause.
I love it. Gives me an excuse to hole up under a blanket on the couch in sweatpants much earlier than in summer. It just feels festive and cozy, somehow.
This is hilarious and also a very cautionary tale about AI.
This is the thread I needed. (And definitely the Christmas movie I need!)
I just looked it up and bleurgh. That's revolting.
Amazing.
If this is what it looks like, this is a live third amendment issue. The third amendment has always been my favorite amendment, but largely because it never came up.
From yesterday. Michelle Trachtenberg is apparently still alive. (I googled Michelle Trachtenberg cause of death and this is what the unsolicited Google AI produced)
